Property valuations for probate
Thursday, July 17, 2014
Dealing with a loss is hard enough but having to organise a loved ones estate can be the last thing anyone would want to do. Typically the persons property is the largest asset and in most cases will be valued in order for a sale to take place.
When dealing with such a case a recent customer of AV's called to receive a quote, it was late in the day and the customer was tired and still very much in the grieving process.
We gave the customer the required price for the valuation and at the end of the conversation one of our team simply said "Whether you decide to proceed with AV's or not, i would like to say i am sorry for your loss and appreciate how difficult a time this is for you and your family"
The customer paused took in a deep breath and said "I have called 4 other companies today to get a quote today and you will be my last please lets move this forward not on the basis of price but on the way you have dealt with me on the phone"
Specialist Probate Surveyors
My point in blogging about this call is to highlight the way AV's deal with sensitive cases, in this instance it was probate but it could have been any number of cases we deal with that need a professional and understanding approach.
If you need someone to help you deal with affairs that are sensitive in nature then please give us a call, we are the experts in our field and just as importantly we care
